Young Stock Barn #1: This barn is the furthest north located just east of the original barn. This is for heifers 11 months to springing. 42x95x1 open to the south, solar top, curtain on the north, drive by feed strip with all head locks, 89 free stalls (mattresses) in 3 rows, manual scrape manure to reception pit/channel at the west end under slats with gravity flow to the small lagoon located to the west. Also included in this category is a feed strip and litter alley adjoined to the east for feeding animals that can be raised on a pasture on the north side of this barn, generally in the summer. This barn was built in 1998.

Young Stock Barn #2: This is the barn located just east of the shop. This barn was built in 2000 and is 40x100. Open to the south with drive by feed alley with all head locks, curtain on the north. 90 free stalls (mattresses) in 3 rows. The east approx. 30 is manure storage area; manure is manual scraped to this holding area and hauled or taken to the pit when needed. This barn housing for heifers age 6 mo. to 10 mo.

Young Stock Barn #3: This is the furthest south barn, built in 2008. It is 42x185, open to the south drive-by feed alley with slant bar panel, curtain on the north and also a curtain on the south dropping to the top of the head panel. This is a bedded pack barn with 14 group pens, swinging gate dividers, all concrete floors. This is for 4 month to 6 mo. old heifers, capacity is approx. 200 head.

Young Stock Barn #4: This consists of 6 identical barns, all built in 2012. Each Barn is 35x200 with a 10 manger/drive by feed alley. All 6 barns are: open to the south with curtain on the north and curtain on the south dropping to the top of the head panel, concrete litter alley, bedded pack north portion over gravel. There is a curb and posts between the litter alley and the bedded pack. There are 9 gated pens, the head panel is a pivoting neck rail. This is for 2-4 mo old calves. Manure is manually scraped and transferred to the manure pit.

Barn: 40x90x2 with loft 40x14 lean-to add to the east and 20x40 lean-to add on the south containing the former Milk House which is now an office. The stable area is open housing for heifers age 6 mo to 12 mo; the former stalls are cattle beds. Also included is a latge concrete yard on the east with a 60 feed strip with neck rail. Capacity of the barn and attached yard is approx. 100 head. Manure from this barn, the yard and litter alley is manual scrape directly into the manure lagoon.

Silo: 18x70 Poured and 20x70 Stave, both with unloaders and utilized in the operation.

Shop: Built in 2008 and added to in 2010. The main structure is 40x54x16. One OH door on the north, all insulated and heated with Nat. Gas furnaces, full concrete floor. Attached at the NE corner is the 20x18 feed room for the calf raising operation which was added in 2010. There is a boiler, a hot water reservoir tank, a 1,000 gal bulk tank, wash tank, related equipment. (A liquid feed is delivered and mixed with hot water and dispensed to the 900 wet calves.)

Machine Shed: At the far NE corner of the site, built in 2010, 42x95x16, pole frame and foundation, concrete floor, metal covered, 2 OH doors.

Outbuilding: There are 2 portions to this structure; each is approx 40x54. The west portion is an old wood frame corn crib with a newer steel roof and the east portion is a steel frame, open side structure. Both parts have a concrete floor and combined this is all used for hay/large bale storage.

Property Improvements: Most of the investment is in the infrastructure for the calf raising operation. As it is growing, all improvements are done to be CAFO compliant however it is not yet needed at the present size. Included is: Mound septic for the house; 2 wells (one for the livestock operation and one for the house and original barn); 1 mil. gal. earthen manure lagoon and new(2013) 150x225 pit with a concrete bottom and concrete push wall for pen pack manure-both designed and built to NRCS specs; all concrete feed pad at the NE corner of the site-approx. 130x180, most with 5 concrete; part asphalt/part concrete and (mostly) breaker run covered with gravel pad for holding approx. 900 calf hutches-alleys, hutch base all sloped and drained etc. (estimated 2.7 acres developed for calf hutches); All drive surfaces and landscaping.

House/Attached Garage: Ranch home built in 1992 and added to and remodeled in 2004. Overall size is approx. 1,792 sq, ft, with a newer 12x14 dining/sun room on the east side. Attached garage with 2 OH doors is approx. 28x36. Full basement is all finished into a rec. room and office area. Natural Gas-Hot Water heat and central AC, 3 BR one being a Master, full bath with whirlpool tub, bath with stand up shower and laundry room at the garage end, LR with natural wood burning FP, remodeled Kitchen with new built-ins. Tile Hard Wood and carpet flooring.
